How many diapers do I need?
Building a cloth diaper stash is a necessity. It may be costly upfront, but you’ll immediately be grateful you have enough cloth diapers to last between washings and to regularly rotate through your stash. This means not having to do a load of cloth diapers every day, which means less wear and tear on your diapers, which extends the life of your cloth diapers. Your cloth diaper stash size can save your sanity during the diaper-wearing days, and it will save you money in the long run.
If you’re using a one-size diapering system, you want to have 40-50 diapers for a "big stash". Your cloth diapers will last through at least one child’s diapered years at that size. With a large enough stash and the ability to rotate, you should even be able to use your cloth diapers for more than one kid!
But if you have a smaller stash (20-24 diapers), you can expect wear to show sooner, and excessive wear may necessitate repairing or replacing diapers.
Organic Cotton
GroVia cotton is certified by an internationally-recognized quality assurance organization. By choosing GroVia cotton products, you can rest assured that a reputable organization is ensuring that the entire process—from farm to fanny—is organic. The IMO certification process begins all the way down at the farm level, where a rigorous set of rules is established to ensure that production of our cotton has a minimal impact on the environment. These rules require that organic cotton products be grown to ensure:
But the process doesn’t end there, even though sometimes the audit can seem to never end! The next step is to ensure that IMO-certified products are manufactured in a socially responsible way. IMO certification requires a positive impact on the quality of life for farmers and workers in areas considered to be disadvantaged regions, as well as safe working conditions during the manufacturing process. Finally, IMO evaluates the fair trade policies of our company and ensures that our workers are being paid properly.
When manufacturers use a substantial certification process for their organic products, it makes it easier for consumers to make environmentally and socially conscious decisions. That integrity is very important to GroVia.
